Castle of Doom

image09.jpg

You’re a famous treasure hunter (er, umm…. archaeologist) who has just discovered the location of an ancient castle rumored to be holding a number of priceless artifacts. But there’s competition. Some rival (and less noble) grave robbers have also learned of the castle’s value, so it’s up to you to save as many items as you can. After all, they belong in a museum.

This game has been co-designed by me and my 8 year old son. Castle of Doom is a movement-based game inspired by Indiana Jones and the original Fireball Island (but with a lot more choice and strategy due to the open layout of the map). It's a blast as a family adventure game and there have been many times the whole table has been amazed by an incredible Indy-esque sequence of swinging in, swiping a treasure, punching the opponent and making a run for the door.
